Possibly useful for trying to find good cities to live in. Useful points:

- quantity of public lands reachable within 1 hour
- presence of cultural institutions
- university (preferably public, research, reasonable tuition, open to nontrads)
- community bio lab
- hackerspace
- improv
- bookstores
- community gardens or farms reachable within 1 hour
- available water
- low gini coefficient, and high standard of living (people are more equal, but not because they're all destitute) (?)
- decent public transport if possible
- attainable [[median home price by city]]
- [[city climate data]] between 20 deg F in winter an 80 deg with dew point less than 60
- evergreens in town, lots of trees
